The University of Kansas men’s basketball program recently released their official schedule for the 2020-21 campaign. From a season-opening matchup with the No. 1 team in the country to multiple tilts with ranked opponents, this year’s schedule is chalked full of excitement.
The sixth-ranked Jayhawks will open the season on Thanksgiving day with a matchup with the top-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs at the Fort Myers Tip-Off down in Florida. Kansas will also play Saint Joseph’s on Nov. 27 as part of the event. | ROCKET MORTGAGE FORT MYERS TIP-OFF SCHEDULE
The schedule doesn’t lighten up for the Jayhawks as they are set to face No. 10 Kentucky as part of the State Farm Champions Classic on Dec. 1. The game will take place at 8:30 p.m. in Indianapolis, Indiana on ESPN.
The Jayhawks are also set to host No. 11 Creighton on Dec. 8 inside Allen Fieldhouse as part of the Big 12/Big East Battle, with tip-off scheduled for 4 p.m. on ESPN.
Big 12 Conference play is set to begin on Dec. 17th, with Kansas traveling to take on No. 14 Texas Tech. Kansas will then host No. 15 West Virginia on Dec. 22 and No. 19 Texas on Jan. 2.
In all, half of KU’s 26 scheduled games will come against ranked opponents. Kansas will play six ranked opponents within their first ten games of the season. They will open and close Big 12 play against a trio of ranked opponents as well.
